“State of the Cure” Report

The Alpha-1 Foundation’s State of the Cure document describes the progress the Foundation has made toward fulfilling its mission since its founding in 1995, and the challenges now facing the Foundation and the Alpha-1 Community. The State of the Cure provides clear, detailed explanations of the current state of research and therapeutic development strategies.

The mission of the Foundation is to provide the leadership and resources that will result in increased research, improved health, worldwide detection, and a cure for Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency. Finding a cure is the essential reason for the Foundation’s existence, so State of the Cure became the title for this 2008 report to the community.
