World Stem Cell Summit Sept. 22-23 in Wisconsin
MADISON, WI – Governor Jim Doyle will kick off the World Stem Cell Summit with a free public forum and festival called Lab on the Lake at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Pyle Center. The festival will take place Sept. 21, and the World Stem Cell Summit will be held Sept 22-23.
The event will also include Lunch with the Experts, where leading specialists in stem cell research will answer questions. Some of the planned topics of discussion include the morality of embryo use in research, religious positions on stem cell research, and advances in stem cell research in other countries.
Early registration for the World Stem Cell Summit has been extended until Sept. 8. The event is presented by the Genetics Policy Institute, WiCell Research Institute and the University of Wisconsin-Madison Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Center.
