Step Forward for Alpha-1 walk planned At Carlin Park, Jupiter, FL, in November

Dust off your walking shoes. The Step Forward for Alpha-1 Walk is right around the corner.

The event takes place at Carlin Park in Jupiter, FL, on Saturday, Nov. 12. Even south Florida cools off by then, and the park is right beside the beach, so it should be a perfect day for an outing.

The walk is aimed to raise Alpha-1 awareness and funds for the Alpha-1Foundation’s research programs.

November is Alpha-1 awareness month – the perfect time to have some outdoor fun for a worthy cause.

Registration is at 9 am, with the walk to begin at 10. The planned walking trail goes for 1.25 miles, but everyone is invited to walk whatever distance they find comfortable, and at their own pace.

Everyone is invited to bring friends and family. There is something for everyone, including indulging the park beaches with lifeguards on duty, as well as exercise courts, picnic areas with grills, and several playgrounds.

Participants are invited to register at FIRSTGIVING.
