Southwest Florida COPD Community Team Workshop
Individuals with COPD, their families and caregivers are welcome to learn tips for healthy living, discover how to access the best information and share your stories with others affected by COPD at the Southwest Florida COPD Community Team Workshop on May 10.
The event is from 12:00PM to 5:00PM at the Physician’s Regional Medical Center-Collier, Education Conference Room: 8300 Collier Boulevard, Naples, Florida 34114
Patients can register here or contact (866) 316-2673 for additional information. Respiratory Therapists can also participate and earn mandatory CEU credits.

The workshop is divided into two sessions:
Morning Session:
7:30AM to 1:00PM, events include:
– Continental Breakfast/Registration
– COPD 101: GOLD Standards Update
– Spirometry/COPD Assessment Overview
– Current Smoking Cessation Perspectives
– COPD and Alpha-1 Management: Providers/Patients
Afternoon Session:
1:00PM to 5:00PM, events include:
– Mandatory CEU: Medical Errors, Part 1 and 2
– Mandatory CEU: Emergency Preparedness, Part 1 and 2
PLEASE NOTE: Patients requiring supplemental oxygen should plan to bring enough supply for the 4-hour program. If back-up oxygen is required, patients must bring a copy of their prescription and should indicate the need during pre-registration.
