Regional Support Group Meeting in Orlando Dec. 1
Dr. Mark Brantly will host the Regional Support Group Meeting this Saturday, Dec. 1 in Orlando, Fl. Dr. Brantly will talk about the importance of early detection and current research on Alpha-1.
Dr. Virginia “Ginger” Clark, a Transplant Hepatology Fellow at the University of Florida, will speak on the basics of Alpha-1 liver disease as it effects both children and adults; Dr. Femi Akindipe, Professor of Medicine at the University of Florida, will also speak about lung transplants in Alphas; Mike Runge, Director of Respiratory Therapy at St. Alexius Medical Center, will talk about the importance of pulmonary rehabilitation.
