NIH website offers information on health research
WASHINGTON—The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has created a new consumer-friendly website about clinical research being funded by the NIH.
The new Clinical Research Web site provides information on how clinical research is conducted and the role that clinical trial participants play in the process. There are personal testimonies of volunteers who have participated in clinical research as well as a state-by-state breakdown of NIH research funding.
With links to “Research Results for the Public” and “NIH News in Health” the site also provides information on some public health successes resulting from clinical research.
