News reports claiming that pop singer Michael Jackson has severe lung disease due to Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency have led to media interviews with prominent physicians, describing and clarifying Alpha-1.
An interview with Jeffrey Teckman, MD, of the St. Louis University School of Medicine, the doctor who answers questions about Alpha-1 related liver disease on the Alpha-1 Foundation’s liver page, was carried online by ZAMP Bionews.
