Kathy Haduck receives Helen Chase Walsh Memorial Award
AlphaNet Coordinator Kathy Haduck of Blandburg, PA, was honored with the Helen Chase Walsh Memorial Award at the recent annual education conference of the Alpha-1 Association in Orlando, FL.

The award is presented each year by the Walsh family to someone who demonstrates a love of life, courage and spirit in living with Alpha-1, and compassion for and service to others
Haduck, who could not attend the conference due to illness, was definitely there in spirit:
She has been knitting multi-purpose dishcloths/hot pads with a purple ribbon theme, and donated them to the Alpha-1 Foundation to display at the booth during the Orlando conference.
They were “a big hit,” said Foundation Director of Development Angela McBride.
“People loved them. Many who came to the Foundation booth saw them, wanted some, and made a donation for research.
The distinctive purple ribbon design highlights Kathy Haduck’s multi-purpose dishcloths/hot pads made for the Alpha-1 Foundation.
