“I have known Victor for years and have consistently been impressed by his business leadership,” Walsh said. “He has built a corporate culture that embraces the needs of individuals affected by disorders like Alpha-1 requiring plasma-derived therapies. This award is well deserved. The Grifols family has a long history of innovation and has built a world-class manufacturing process and distribution system. We expect very positive results from Grifols’ acquisition of Talecris. We look forward to working closely with Grifols as they embrace the continuous commitment to collaboration and support of the Alpha-1 community in the United States that we have experienced with Talecris Biotherapeutics.”
