Foundation CEO Featured on Cover of AARC Times
MIAMI, Fl—John Walsh, President and CEO of the Alpha-1 Foundation, is featured on the cover of the current AARC Times, the magazine of the American Association for Respiratory Care.
The magazine carries excerpts from Walsh’s keynote address at the 2007 AARC International Respiratory Congress in Orlando, Fl. Some of the excerpts:
“John Walsh always knew lung disease ran in his family. His mother died of what was called “early onset emphysema” when he was a child. But back in the 1980s he was more focused on his successful career in telecommunications than on breathing. He wasn’t giving much thought at all to the plight of people with chronic lung disease — and none whatsoever to an allied health profession called respiratory therapy…”
