Florida COPD Awareness Day Feb. 9 features ride on COPD Shuttle, chance to meet legislators
TALLAHASSEE — The COPD Foundation invites you to ride the COPD Shuttle: Journey to the Center of the Lungs – a 20-passenger mobile simulator that takes you on a free five-minute virtual adventure through the human lungs.
It’s all part of the Florida COPD Awareness day at the Florida Capitol Feb. 9.
Anyone with COPD is invited to educate Florida legislators on the needs of the COPD community, learn about the effects t, and help spread awareness about COPD – now named the third leading cause of death in the U.S.
Florida COPD Awareness Day is Wednesday, Feb. 9, from 9 am to 4 pm at the Florida State Capitol Building Courtyard, 400 South Monroe Street, Tallahassee, FL, 32399.
Free spirometry testing will be offered from 10 am – 2 pm at the Capitol Rotunda.
