Two team up to promote Alpha-1 and cancer awareness
MADISON, WI—Wisconsin Alpha Pack members Katie Schwalbe and Henry Eckert will team up for the Paddle & Portage event on Wisconsin’s Lake Mendota this Saturday, July 19. They will be raising awareness for both Alpha-1 and cancer. Both Katie and Henry are diagnosed Alphas who have also survived cancer.
Currently in her early 40s, Schwalbe has participated in several sporting events across Wisconsin. Eckert had a double lung transplant at age 35 in 2005 at UW Hospital in Madison.
