CSL agrees to acquire Talecris Biotherapeutics
KING OF PRUSSIA, PA—CSL Behring has announced to its staff that its parent company, CSL Limited, has signed an agreement to aquire Talecris Biotherapeutics.
Talecris is the manufacturer of Prolastin, the first augmentation therapy for Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency. CSL Behring manufactures the agumentation therapy Zemaira.
CSL plans to combine Talecris’ business into CSL Behring, with CSL President Peter Turner, who has been President of CSL since its formation in 2004, heading the business.
