Create your own sundae to help find a cure for Alpha-1

JOHNSTON, IA—What do you like with your ice cream? Sprinkles, whipped cream, maybe a cherry on top? Come to the Simpson Barn Sunday, July 19 from 1 to 5 pm, and you can have your ice cream any way you like it. And the best part: you’ll be doing your share to help find a cure for Alpha-1!

Tom Corron and Peg Iverson from Des Moines, IA, are hosting their “Get the Scoop on Alpha-1 Ice Cream Social for a cure” where all proceeds will benefit the Alpha-1 Foundation to help fund research programs for Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency.

The Waukee Big Band and vocalist Lisa Cole will provide live music and Tom and Peg are going to dish up some facts about Alpha-1 to help raise awareness in the community.

The Simpson Barn is located near the Johnston Public Library off Merle Hay, 6169 Northglenn Drive, Johnston, IA.
