COPD Foundation launches "Big Fat Reference Guide on COPD" as part of November's COPD Awareness Month activities
Washington, DC — The COPD Foundation is launching the first edition of the Big Fat Reference Guide on Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease as part of the Foundation’s activities to mark November, which is COPD Awareness month.
The COPD Foundation’s new monthly e-newsletter, advocacy meetings and free lung health testing events at state capitols, are all part of COPD Awareness Month activities.
The COPD Big Fat Reference Guide (BFRG) will provide detailed information about COPD, including testing and treatment, diet, nutrition, activity and fitness, the management of environmental risk factors, and coping with COPD.
The BFRG is based on the same concept as AlphaNet’s Big Fat Reference Guide to Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency, which has been used for years by AlphaNet to help educate Alphas, their families and healthcare providers about Alpha-1.
In addition to the BFRG, the COPD Foundation is disseminating a new monthly e-newsletter. This e-newsletter will keep subscribers informed about research updates, news and information on COPD and hot topics both from Capitol Hill as well as from COPD patients’ backyards.
