Celtic Connection: Have fun, help raise money for Alpha-1 research

NEEDHAM, MA—Come celebrate our Irish heritage by observing St. Patrick’s Day (a few days early) with family and friends on Saturday, March 13.

Even if you’re not Irish, you’ll have plenty of fun—and for a great cause, helping to support Alpha-1 research.

Enjoy a traditional Irish dinner of corned beef and cabbage served with boiled potatoes, celery, onions, carrots and fresh Irish soda bread. And dance the night away to live music by “Hogan’s Goat,” a South Boston band known for its traditional Irish tunes.

There’ll also be Irish step dancing by students from the Harney Academy.

The Celtic Connection is named for the strong influence of Celtic culture in Ireland, going back thousands of years. The Alpha-1 Foundation’s international outreach is providing support in Ireland. The Foundation funds research projects by investigators in Ireland, and the Foundation promotes worldwide detection with a testing program in Dublin.

The Celtic Connection will take place at the Sheraton Needham Hotel, 100 Cabot St., Needham, MA 02494. Dinner starts at 7 pm.

Tickets are $40 per person, $75 per couple or $350 per table of 10. Contact Bob Healy at 781-447-1474 or bobhealy125@msn.com.

All proceeds raised at the Celtic Connection will benefit the Alpha-1 Foundation’s research programs.
