Bill Reese publishes new book, "The Painter's Process"

Well-known western painter, sculptor and author Bill Reese has published a new book.

The Painter’s Process, by William F. Reese, forward by Mary N. Balcomb, is about the art on which Reese built a career practicing and teaching.

Reese, of Wenatchee, WA, is on full-time oxygen because of lung disease due to Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency. He was an original board member of the Alpha-1 Foundation and for years has donated the paintings for the Foundation holiday cards.

The book covers Reese’s philosophy and his own discussion of the process of painting. Reese explains his own approach to such subjects as color, composition, edges, and infinity as it relates to perspective among many other topics.

The book also contains a question-and-answer section with subjects put forth by others.

The Painter’s Process measures 8”x10” with 157 pages and 78 full-color plates. It is published by Blueraven Publishing and is available at www.williamfreese.com
