Alpha docs named to scientific advisory board of Arriva, company now testing inhaled version of recombinant AAT
ALAMEDA, Calif.—Arriva Pharmaceuticals, a biopharmaceutical company focused on developing anti-inflammatory therapies, announced today the formation of the company’s scientific advisory board.
The group includes Robert A. Sandhaus, MD, PhD, Clinical Director of the Alpha-1 Foundation, and several other doctors with strong links to the Alpha-1 Foundation and research on Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency.
Arriva is currently conducting clinical trials with Respriva, an inhaled form of alpha-1 protein made by genetic engineering, as replacement therapy in Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency.
