Alpha-1 Foundation says CSL's acquisition of Talecris can bring expanded research and services -- with input from Alpha-1 community
MIAMI, FL—The Alpha-1 Foundation issued a Statement to the Community today saying the Foundation is “cautiously optimistic” that CSL Limited’s announced agreement to acqire Talecris Biotherapeutics “provides the opportunity to increase support for research, earlier detection and better services for the Alpha-1 community.”
John W. Walsh, President, CEO and Co-founder of the Foundation, said, “We hope to continue our long tradition of collaboration with industry partners if this acquisition is approved by regulatory authorities and consummated.”
