Alpha-1 Foundation clinical director, AlphaNet coordinator to be interviewed on Sirius and XM satellite radio June 23

Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency will be the subject of an hour-long interview and question-and-answer session on Sirius and XM satellite radio this Tuesday, June 23.

Robert A. Sandhaus, MD, PhD, the Alpha-1 Foundation’s clinical director, and Fred Walsh, an Alpha from Massachusetts who is a Regional Patient Services Coordinator for AlphaNet, will be featured on the show hosted by Frank Adams, MD, a pulmonologist and assistant professor of clinical medicine at New York University Langone Medical Center.

The Alpha-1 segment of the “Doctor Radio” show will be heard from 7 to 8 am Eastern Time this Tuesday on satellite radio channels XM 119 and Sirius 114.

Adams is the regular host of Doctor Radio’s pulmonary program every Tuesday from 6-8 am ET. He will interview Sandhaus and Walsh during the show’s second hour, then listeners will be invited to call in with questions about Alpha-1.

Adams is also the author of The Asthma Sourcebook and an official surgeon for the New York Police Department.
