Alpha-1 Foundation joins global Year of the Lung campaign
MIAMI – The Alpha-1 Foundation is a partner in The Year of the Lung, a global campaign in 2010, to raise awareness about lung health in communities worldwide.
“We are proud to be an active partner in The Year of the Lung,” said Foundation President & CEO John Walsh. “The time is long overdue to take action about the hundreds of millions of people around the world suffering from treatable and preventable respiratory disease.”
A key objective is to begin to build a social movement for greater public awareness and policy action about lung health.
