Alpha-1, COPD Foundations Sponsor Workshop on Standardizing CT Scans for COPD Research
BETHESDA, MD – The Alpha-1 Foundation and COPD Foundation sponsored a workshop of world experts on CT Scan technology for COPD research in April.
The workshop aimed at reviewing the state of the art in CT scan technology and attempting to arrive at a set of recommendations for standardizing CT scanning in future COPD research.
The two-day workshop, formally entitled “Quantitative Chest Tomography in COPD Research” involved both presentations and discussions by experts attending from as far away as Japan.
