Actor Scott Baio keynotes National Newborn Screening Awareness Month kickoff
LOS ANGELES—Actor Scott Baio (Charles in Charge, Happy Days) and his wife Renee spoke about their experience of having their baby inaccurately diagnosed with a life-threatening metabolic diase, at a press conference today at UCLA’s Mattel Children’s Hospital.
The event was intended to draw attention to September as “National Newborn Screening Month.”
September is National Newborn Screening Awareness Month, says the Save Babies Through Newborn Screening Foundation.
