How To Help
Work Place Giving
Workplace giving is any kind of charitable contribution done in the workplace, often by voluntary payroll deduction. There are three different types of workplace giving programs: United Way, Combined Federal Campaign and Corporate Matching Gifts.

United Way
United Way participants need only write on the United Way Payroll Deduction Form: “Alpha-1 Foundation” as “other designees.”
Combined Federal Campaign
The CFC is a workplace giving program for postal workers, court employees, military, FBI, DEA, and IRS. A gift to the Alpha-1 Foundation may be through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) by specifying Code 11717. The form identifies Code 11717 as Medical Research Charities of America. Therefore, the Foundation is permitted to enter the CFC through this organization. Code 11717 ensures that the donations go to the Foundation.
As a member of Medical Research Charities (MRC), formerly Medical Research Agencies of America, the Foundation has fulfilled specific criteria for membership, including a stringent legal and financial review. For more information, visit http://www.medicalresearchcharities.org.
Corporate Matching Gifts
You may contact your Human Resources Department to find out if your employer has a matching gift program that could double, or even triple, your gift to the Alpha-1 Foundation.
