Birthday on the range
Bill Reese, well-known western artist, author, and original Alpha-1 Foundation board member, celebrated his 70th birthday July 10 as you might expect—with a ride in the Ancient Lakes desert in eastern Washington State.
Reese spent his life as an outdoorsman: “I always loved horses. I love to ride them and I love to paint them.”
These days, he spends more time on other kinds of art than painting, including leather carving and sculpture. But he still donates the illustration for the Foundation’s annual holiday card.
As usual, he did something he loved on his birthday, demonstrating his philosophy on Alpha living: “Do it until you can’t, then find something you’ve always wanted to do, and make time to do it. Restructure your life.”
Reese was featured on the cover of the Winter 2007 issue of Alpha-1-To-One magazine.
